I came across a neat challenge online. It is a tournament bracket for the best college football stadiums. Teams go head to head in the bracket challenge to see who has the best stadium in the country, and it allows you to vote to help find the winner.
So I came across the Florida challenge and I see they are up against Penn State. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium is currently losing right now, so how about we all step it up so that the Gators will come back out on top. We want to win everything we can. Doesn’t matter what it is.
Florida is currently down by about 4%. There are over 3,500 votes as of now. What really gets me is how they used a empty picture of the Swamp but of the Penn State stadium it looks like its college game day there or something. Let’s not let them win!
Simple click the link below that says Vote for the Swamp, when it is loaded, all you do is enter your zip code and then click the vote button right below the picture of the Swamp. Tell as many friends as possible.
Go Gators!!
We all know that tomorrow is a big day for all Gator fans as they will take on the Tennessee Vols tomorrow at 2pm on CBS. If you don’t have access to a T.V, maybe you want to watch it online or listen to it on the radio.

Three juniors at the University of Florida had a decision to make after the Gators beat Oklahoma for the National Championship. One junior was a lifetime Gator fan, and loved the university too much to
seriously consider leaving early. It also helped that ‘experts’ didn’t think he would be drafted high. He stayed. The other junior was a sure first-rounder and a guy that is as explosive as you might ever see
in college football. He left. The third junior had the real decision. He was told he would be drafted somewhere in between the other two juniors. He probably wouldn’t go first round, but he wouldn’t drop past the third. He loved UF and playing for these fans and coaches and playing with this group of players, but he had some other concerns on his mind.
Brandon Spikes brother is in prison. Breyon Middlebrooks was sentenced to life without parole after being found guilty of murdering a man in a drug deal gone bad. Spike’s believes his brother is innocent and it would be proven if he could just get his brother some better lawyers. Enter the N.F.L. With the money he would be making as a professional, Spikes could no doubt get some better lawyers for his
brother. Brandon didn’t have the usual decision of making nothing while being a king in the college football world for one more year versus making millions while starting at the bottom of the totem pole as a pro. His decision was about family. His decision was tougher than just about any college junior had to make.
Spikes can improve his draft stock and be a sure first-rounder in the 2010 draft while also helping return one of the best Gator defenses in the history of their program. Once Brandon decided he would return for his senior year, he said he felt like it was the right choice to come back. It is widely rumored that Spikes and Tebow agreed to come to the same school during the recruiting process, so it is fitting they will end their careers together as seniors for the Gators. The two players have been two of the best leaders in the history of the program, and I have little doubt they have big things in store for their senior years. Spike’s brother will have to wait one more year for those lawyers, but help is coming soon. Brandon always looks out for his family, as well as his family of Gators. I am sure all of Gator Nation was excited to hear Spikes was returning, but not everyone realized the sacrifices he was making to do so.

With just few minutes going into the second half, Senior guard Walter Hodge was ejected after intentionally stepping on Perry Stevenson’s arm as he was lying on the floor. Was this really intentional on Hodge’s part?
I honestly do not think he did it on purpose. I have never even seen Hodge make a stupid mistake out of the years at Florida.
Walter did not even see Stevenson’s arm laying out on the ground. But that is just what I think. There are several people saying that he looked down before stepping on his arm and apologized so he could try and stay in the game but then there are fans talking about how Hodge meant his apology, he did not laugh or make any facial expressions after the incident.
It was a major factor to. Hodge contributes almost 8 points a contest, and could have made a big impact in the Gator offense and defense in the second half, but instead it turned out to be a three point loss. Was this just a bad call on the refs part? More Kentucky fans are agreeing on Florida’s side. It might of been one of the lowest calls I have seen. It should have turned out to be a technical foul before an ejection in my thoughts. When a player gets elbowed in the face, does he get thrown out? No. But when something this subtle happens I think it does not deserve an ejection.
Don’t ever try to do anything slick in Rupp Arena. They will call every little thing like that. So how do you think coach Billy Donovan will react to this matter? Should Hodge be benched or punished? Do you think he should play in the next road game vs Georgia? Let us hear your comments on the article. Florida will face Georgia on Saturday, tip off will be held at 3:30pm on CBS.

Trey Burton was one of the first commitments for the 2010 University of Florida
recruiting class. He is a 200 pound, 6’3”, dual-threat QB hailing from Venice, FL.
He attended the UF junior day last weekend and got to spend some quality time with
UF’s new QB coach Scot Loeffler. Burton committed way back in July of 2008, and
looks forward to joining UF as soon as he can. We had a chance to sit down with
Burton and discuss his commitment and what made him decide to be a Gator. He sounds
like he will fit right in with Gator Nation, and we look forward to him coming to
Gainesville officially.
GSN: How did it feel being in Gainesville?
Trey Burton: “It’s an awesome feeling. The fans are awesome and the campus is
beautiful.”
GSN: Do you think you can bring a championship to Florida?
Trey Burton: “I am definitely going to try to. That is my goal, to bring another
national championship to Gainesville.”
GSN: How long have you been a Gator?
Trey Burton: “I’ve probably been a Gator since I was 6 years old, when I was old
enough to understand a little bit about football.”
GSN: How comfortable were you with the coaching staff?
Trey Burton: “I love the coaching staff. They are real smart and they push the
players to get better in everything they do. They are also great guys off the
field.”
GSN: What other sch
ools did you seriously consider? What did you like about them?
Trey Burton: “I really wasn’t going to consider any other school until I thought I
had zero chance of being a Gator. But if I had to pick, it would probably be another
SEC school because the SEC is the best conference.”
GSN: What stood out to you about Florida?
Trey Burton: “The fans, coaches and campus are awesome, plus they compete for the
best team in the nation in every sport every year. They play the toughest teams and
they are in the best conference, plus it’s a great school.”
GSN: What do you think are strong points of your game?
Trey Burton: “What people have told me my strong points are is running the ball,
like scrambling. But last summer and this summer, all I’m going to be doing is
working on throwing and being the best QB I can be before I get to UF.”
GSN: Are you excited about watching and learning from a guy like Tebow? Do you think
that will be beneficial to you in the future?
Trey Burton: “Oh yeah, it’s awesome to watch him play. Plus he is a better guy off
the field and he is a role model to a lot of kids.”
Florida got what they wanted. Five star recruit Andre Debose is an official Gator.
Debose should be a huge part of Florida’s spread offense. Their are rumors everywhere from coaches, fans, and other players talking about how Debose is the next Percy Harvin. I believe he can become a better player than Harvin was. Yes, Harvin is outstanding and is almost impossible to replace but with this much talent this kid has, it’s like he isn’t even human. Percy Harvin and Andre Debose are so much alike. Their game play is practically the same. Speed, hands, and always able to make big plays.
Andre received offers from schools such as LSU, Southern Cal, Georgia, Miami, and Florida State but he came out as a Florida Gator which all Florida fans should be tickled to death right now.
Debose played everywhere in high school. Of course he played receiver but he also played running back along with quarterback. Yes… he can throw to. This is how dangerous he can be. As a junior, he rushed the ball 84 times for 712 yards and 11 touchdowns. He did not see a whole lot of P.T as a QB but he still managed to throw 204 yards on 31 attempts, completing 15 out of the 31. Andre caught for 270 yards. He had over 2,000 total yards receiving, throwing, and rushing in his high career.
You can also tell that he will be used just as much as a back throughout his career at UF. He is just like Harvin. Both speedsters and both have incredible speeds in the 40, with Debose running a 4.4. Be prepared to see plenty of “Debose” in the backfield, taking the pitch on options, and running it in for a touchdown. He will be a perfect addition on this Gator roster next season.
