On June 21, the Florida Gators football program landed yet another four star linebacker. Ryan Shazier will enter his senior year of high school as the number nine outside linebacker in the country according to Rivals.com. The Plantation, Florida native has decided to commit to Urban Meyer and the gators for the 2011 season.

Entering his senior season at Plantation High School, Shazier is an aggressive, attacking style player in a mold all his own. Measuring in at 6’3” and 205 pounds with a good frame to add plenty of muscle, Shazier looks to use his athletic ability and aggressiveness to punish any unfortunate soul who dares to hold the ball in the high school ranks. With the 4.56 40 yard dash and a 34 inch vertical leap, his explosiveness will be on display for all to see. Shazier hopes to build upon a tremendously effective junior season, when he recorded 87 tackles and an outstanding 19 sacks.
