FIBA World Cup

For thise of you who don't know what this is, its the World Cup of Basketball.

The U.S. Team is pretty stout this year, led by Kevin Durant. There are a lot of young stars on the team.

I really dig world cup basketball because it isn't the soft, isolation based game that the NBA has de-evolved into. Its a tough, team oriented game, similar to college ball, but with pros from all over hte world.

I was watching them the other day against Greece and I seen Nick Calathes playing... USA is tearing it up though.

Calathes was playing for Greece? I know he plays over there in their pro leagues, but the FIBA is all national teams.

They were on T.V.. It was team USA on T.V. and I saw Calathes in the game then on the bench.

I had no idea he made the team. They cut some really good guys recently, who are much more established that Nick.
