It looks as if its all but a done deal.

I think so.. Its easy for the fans to sit and say yeahhhhh lets play 18 games! But for the players their probably dreading it lol.

I don't like it for a few reasons.

- The game will only become a softer game so the players can handle two more games
- runningbacks will truly become a thing of the past, prolly topping out at two and a half sesaons.
- I'm a stat hound and this will further inflate numbers
- Why is the NFL trying to fix what isn't broken?

Yea, but they are trying to appeal to the casual fan, who doesn't have a ton of knolage of the game and who only wants to see points scored. Its worth it ti the NFL to alienate the ones who will likely watch anyways for the sake of potential veiwers. Its kind of sad and frustrating.
