Most all of the GM’s in the NFL have their opinion that Tim Tebow will not succeed on the next level. And there are questions that even I have with him as a QB at the next level. Some of the issues are his slow throwing motion and his inability to read defenses, but I’m going to give you the reason as to why I believe he will be a successful NFL quarterback.
The first reason is Tim is a proven winner from being named 2004 and 2005 Mr. Football for the state of Florida to being named the 2007 Heisman trophy winner. Tim won a state championship in 2005 and national championships in 2006 and 2008. Tebow set numerous of individual records in the state of Florida such as total offense and passing offense. He went on to set a lot of SEC records such as most rushing touchdowns in a career. Tim was also a part of the winningest SEC senior class. Who can say they have had a more successful collegiate career than Tim Tebow?
The second reason and what in my opinion is the biggest reason as to why he will be successful is his passion for the game which is second to none. Experts say sometimes he has to much passion but my question is how can someone have to much passion as I fan I want my quarterback crying after a loss it shows how much he cares of the university. One of the greatest moments in Florida history was the famous Tim Tebow speech without that speech who knows if the orange and blue wins the championship last football season. Passion isn’t something you learn overnight or be taught passion is something you’re born with.
The final reason is Tim’s accuracy as a quarterback. In his career he has only thrown 16 interceptions in 665 career attempts. Yes sometimes it might not be the prettiest ball or the tightest spiral but does fans honestly care how pretty it looks as long as the ball gets to the receiver and not the defender.
Yes Tim needs to learn a pro style offense and make some adjustments to his mechanics but with all of the stuff Tim brings to the game how can you shy away from the opportunity to draft him.
I’m going to going to leave you with this, what player would you want with ball in his hands with the game on the line in the 4th quarter?

I want to believe he will be successful, but I have my doubts. This argument is weak. Re-read this article, and everywhere you see “Tebow” replace it with “Wuerffel”, who also set high school and college records, and won college and high school championships, and had a heart that couldn’t be questioned. But had questionable arm strength and questionable ability to “make all the throws” the NFL requires. I passionately believed he would make it, and thought Mel Kiper was an idiot for not seeing how Wuerffel’s championship spirit would ensure he would make it in the NFL.
Kiper was right, I was wrong. So now I’m more skeptical.
I agree and he will be taken in the first round.
Tebow’s mechanics are no worse than Aaron Rodgers of Green Bay. His defensive reads are no worse than other QBs that came out of spread offenses. People said similar things years ago of good college QBs who came from run and shoot offenses–those QBs thrived. Being a college QB is not just about running a system– it’s learning how to learn. Tebow may not win a Super Bowl, but I am sure that if given the chance he can at least be an average NFL QB. With the right coaches, he could be more.
He’ll be a great sideline QB or possibly a 3 snap a yr. TE.
I belive Urban Myer. After the Sugar Bowl, that question popped up…can you make it at the next level Tim, and Urban Myer answered for Tim with an emphatic…YES!!
