The University of Florida released the contract details for new head coach Will Muschamp. Muschamp will earn $13.75 million if he stays the five years, which is an average of $2.75 million per year.
According to Antonya English, Muschamp will get $278,846.31 his first year and $250,000 for the following four seasons. Not to mention he will also receive $1.7 million for his appearances on television, the radio and other public media relations and a one time signing bonus worth $750,000.
If coach Muschamp does stay for the five years, he will get a $500,000 retention bonus check that would be paid on January 31 of 2016. But say he were to leave early or find another job he would have to pay that same exact amount back. And if he got fired he would still receive $2 million annually until his contract comes to an end.
