Tebow’s Concussion Was First Of His Career

Quarterback Tim Tebow suffered from a concussion against Kentucky on Saturday night late in the third quarter and it has been revealed that it was his first and hope to be the last concussion he ever has to deal with.

Head coach Urban Meyer said that Tebow was suppose to have tests done Today to tell the amount of time he could be missing and if he will be returning for the LSU game or not. Practice started at 4 pm for the Gators, Tebow was some where around the Florida facilities but will not show up at practice.

A couple months ago, every player took these tests that deal with some type of brain processing technique, test your balance out and equilibrium standards. These help the doctors decide if the player will be ok to return from suffering a concussion, and that is exactly what they are doing with Tebow now, using the tests he did back in June and figuring out whether he will be able to face the Tigers or not. I hope he is even lucky to play another game his senior year. I would rather him sit out the LSU game to recover more then toss him in on October 10 and make it worse. Tim has been eating and talking but he still is getting minor headaches.

Tebow never sustained a concussion before. Not throughout his collegiate career at the University of Florida, nor high school. His high school coach even said he never suffered once from a concussion.

Tim spent Saturday night in the Lexington, KY hospital after striking his own teammate Marcus Gilbert’s leg after he was being driven into the ground. He was released early Sunday morning and taken back to Gainesville, now preparing to find out the outcome of his injury.

Gator Nation please keep Tebow in your thoughts and prayers.
