Tebow Staying Home For The Draft

Former Florida Gator quarterback Tim Tebow announced that he will be watching the NFL draft at his home in Jacksonville, rather than attending it in New York according to a source who spoke with ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Tebow thinks that it will be too difficult to round up all of his family and friends to New York in time before the start of the draft.

Tim may or may not be taken in the first round on Thursday, but Friday is the start of the second round and you might see Tebow drafted on Friday, but you still may never know.

Tebow has been working extra hard trying to change mechanics along with shortening up his throwing motion. During the senior bowl, you would of looked at Tebow and think he would maybe get drafted in the second round but during the scout day in Gainesville he looked like a possibly first round.

What I found interesting was this. A friend of mine was flying out of an airport a couple days ago and saw Pam Tebow, (Tebow’s mother) flying out to New York. Hm…. Weird. I am trying to make a few phone calls to find out more, but who knows, she could just be flying out to visit a friend. It just seemed awkward because the draft is in a couple days and she is flying to New York.

  • Update: Tebow’s Mom flew up to New York to visit other members of the family who are coming in from Bangladesh.
