Redshirt freshman quarterback Jordan Reed will move to tight end next year leaving the Gators with only one proven quarterback in John Brantley.

Early Enrollee Trey Burton and recently signed quarterback Tyler Murphy will compete for the back up role next fall. Burton will have the leg up in the competition as he will participate in spring practice.

Reed a former 4 star recruit from Connecticut move to tight end means the Gators now have two scholarship tight ends along with redshirt freshmen Desmond Parks.. Reed and Parks will compete with newcomers Gerald Christian and Michael McFarland for the starting job this fall.
