Florida Gator head coach Urban Meyer has dealt with several rumors about him becoming the new Notre Dame head coach and today he has stated he wants this to end now.
GSN has gathered some info from the Gator report.
“I’m ready to dispel it (the rumor),” Meyer said. “I’m going to be the coach at Florida as long as they’ll have me. So I want to make that clear.”
Coach Meyer use to be the assistant coach back in 1996-2000 and said years ago that becoming the Notre Dame head coach was a dream job. But as you can see things have changed ever since then.
Senior quarterback Tim Tebow had a few words to put in. He said he doesn’t think Meyer will ever be the Notre Dame head coach. He thinks he will retire when he is ready and he doesn’t think he will land up there. And I am behind that 150%. I believe coach Meyer is going to be the head coach in Gainesville for a good amount of time. He’s not going anywhere anytime soon I’ll tell you that.

I think Urban has a program in place that would be very hard for any one to walk away from. Put it this way if you were a coach and you could take over any current program in the country which would it be?
ND may be able to throw big $$$ but FL has a few $$$ behind it’s program as well and at a certain point it’s not about the $$$ because when you are making a few million a year ++ you are set.
Never say never
