Florida Gator head coach Urban Meyer has apologized to Jeremy Fowler on Saturday for the incident that happened a few days ago, where Meyer put Fowler on the spot in front of about 15 other reporters for the quote Fowler used about Deonte Thompson stating that Brantley is a real quarterback. Meyer called Fowler a “bad guy” and threatened to limit the access of Fowler being able to cover any practices or events.

Both Meyer and Fowler had a word alone today on the field for around 20 minutes.

The Orlando Sentinel reported the quote below from Fowler;

“I won’t go into the details of the conversation, but I would say that Urban did apologize,” Fowler said. “And I feel like as a work-related conversation it was constructive.”

The staff of the Sentinel asked Fowler if it helped their relationship at all, Fowler replied.

“I think so,” Fowler said. “It’s to be determined. But we’ll see … I’m glad he approached me and talked to me about it constructively.”

    Thank God Urban finally put somebody from the “Slantinel” in their place; they had it coming to them after all the trouble they’ve caused in the past few years.

    Screw the Slantinel and the horse they rode in on, too.
