The Free Safety happens to be one of the best in the nation, but he’s only a Junior, which gives him another year of eligibility. Perhaps he should stay and build upon his legacy at Gainesville, or he could head on to the spotlight in the NFL. No one knows for sure what Major Wright will choose, but he is considering the option to leave early for the NFL Draft.
Before he makes his final decision, Wright will talk it out with his family. In what is such a big moment in his young life, Wright doesn’t want to make the wrong decision.
Leaving early would give him a paycheck, and he would most likely be a first day pick. But he could get drafted, and then get overshadowed in the NFL, and have his career fall apart.
Staying another year would only improve his draft stock, but puts the risk of suffering an injury into the picture (i.e. Sam Bradford). Whatever Wright decides, he will always be remembered by Gator Nation for his unbelievable hit in the National Championship game against Oklahoma.
