The biggest thing that can affect any team, even the best of teams, are injuries. Today, the injury bug struck the Gators, as 5 star Freshman Linebacker, Jelani Jenkins, was seen on crutches today. The injury is said to be a sprained ankle. Jenkins has a had a superb offseason, and has played himself into a possible big role on defense for the defending champs.
With rigorous rehab, Jenkins can possibly recover from the sprained ankle in 7-10 days, which is the fastest way, but if anything goes wrong, the injury will be more serious then ever. The conservative approach would be 4-6 weeks, which would cause Jenkins to miss some time early in the season. Hopefully Jenkins can recover before the season, but as a young guy, the staff may want him to make a full recovery, and not rush anything.
**NOTE** GSN will keep tabs on the extent of Jenkins’ injury, and further news involving Jenkins’ health.
