Ocala Trinity Catholic star wide receiver Kadron Boone has chose to commit to Texas Tech on Tuesday, knocking Florida off his list.

Boone who stands at 6 foot 1 and 190 pounds had several major schools looking at him such as Florida, Georgia, Clemson, Oklahoma and Notre Dame and many others. Rivals rated Boone as a four star prospect. He put up some great numbers in 2008 for the Celtics who failed to win in the state championship. Boone caught 57 passes for a total of 1,228 yards with 14 touchdowns.

Florida could have used Boone but it’s really not a huge loss to the program. With the way Florida’s recruiting classes for 2010 and 2011 is looking now, they are going to be real talented even with the loss of Tim Tebow. The Gators still have offers out and one who involves Darius White, a five star prospect out of Fort Worth, Texas.
