Junior OL Corey Hobbs Leaving After This Season
Posted by: Brandon on Nov 27th, 2009Florida Gator redshirt junior OL Cory Hobbs will not return and play for the Gators in the 2010 season which was confirmed by Hobbs father through a text message.
Here is the exact text message that was sent.
“He has decided to study next semester…for law school!” Randy said.
Hobbs was a member of the 2006 recruiting class, playing the offensive line the past three seasons for Florida. During last years championship, Hobbs was the second string center, backing up Maurkice Pouncey. He has suffered from a neck injury the past couple years which has been a reason why he hasn’t seen any playing time.
Hobbs who is from Oviedo High in Orlando, will be honored with the seniors on senior day Saturday against FSU.
Gator Sports Nation wished Cory the best of luck and is glad he found what he likes doing other than just football.
