Joe Haden Declares For Draft

In a not so surpsing news story, Junior Cornerback, Joe Haden, has declared for the NFL Draft. Haden is among many of Florida’s Juniors who are expected to declare, but Haden is the first to do so as of this moment. Haden is expected to be a top 10 pick, and is the #1 Cornerback in this year’s draft, with Alabama Cornerback Javier Arenas as the #2 Cornerback.

In 2009, Haden notched 57 tackles, and had his career high in interceptions with four. In his career, Haden racked up 197 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, and 8 interceptions. His biggest strength, and what makes him the most dominant corner is his cover skills. He displayed these skills against Cincinatti WR Mardy Gilyard, who is one of the top receivers in the nation, but against Haden, Gilyard was held in check and out of the endzone.

With Haden officially declared, we can only expect more Gators to place there name in the draft in the coming days.
