Janoris Jenkins Accepts Probation Deal

The investigation that took nearly four weeks came down to an offer for Florida Gator corner back Janoris Jenkins, a deferred prosecution for resisting arrest that happened on a late night on May 30.

Jenkins agreed to receive six months of probation, $50 for the prosecution, and pay either $150 to a charitable organization or serve 15 hours of community service. All of this from a bone head move one night when he just decided to go out.

The night it happened, Jenkins was arrested and tasered because he was resisting arrest. Jenkins was involved in a fight with about five other people.

Jenkins started corner back for Florida last year on the championship team. He finished the season with 34 tackles and three picks. There is still no word really with Jenkins standing on the team or not, but I believe he will still be able to return. Dustin Doe faced something similar to Jenkins back in 2007.
