Florida has already won a SEC Championship, a national championship, and had a player claim the Heisman Trophy since Urban Meyer stepped in as head coach in Gainesville.
The crazy thing is that they’ve done it all without a true running back, but this year he is more than loaded at that position dating secrets with lots of young talent.
Kestahn Moore has the most experience but will probably still get overshadowed by Chris Rainey, transfer Emanuel Moody, and Brandon James with his electrifying special teams play.
Meyer had to run Tebow entirely too much last season and then had to move Percy Harvin, another Heisman favorite, to take a large brunt of the carries as well.
This year he won’t have to. Moore will likely be the starter because Moody has had trouble picking up the spread offense since transferring from USC. Rainey shined in the Orange-Blue game but hasn’t excelled in an actual game yet, but should be changed this year.
James will just continue doing what he does best, scoring points on both kickoff and punt returns.
Expect Florida’s offense to be even better than they were the last two seasons with the emergence of all this great talent at running back. The Gators should have the most explosive offense in the country this season.
