Gators Offensive Coordinator Job Opening on Craigslist?

OK, for all you coaching from 63 rows up, TV yelling, barco lounger, Bob Uecker” I must be in the front row” couch coaches, here is your chance.  It seems someone cleverly added the Gators Offensive Coordinator position as “open and accepting applications” on Tuesday.  I bet anyone of us could call a better play than the 32 dive we ran about 150 times Saturday night.  Could anyone else tell that Mississippi State knew it too?  IT WAS DAN MULLEN!!!!!!!!  HE KNOWS THE UF OFFENSE, it was time to change it up.  Hell, he probably knew the play before we ran it.  So, for all of you selling covers to iphones in the mall, or dealing with crazies in line at Mochi’s, or complaining about no parking near the Gainesville Hooters, here is your career change.  I bet my daughter Anna could do it.  She is about the only 16 year old that knows every official hand signal for when flags are thrown (some young man will thank me for her knowlege of football one day).  She was calling up plays on all the 4th and 2′s we had and you know, they were all probably better calls than the ones the Gators made Saturday.

I know Urban Meyer and Steve Addazio might have something to say about this open position, but it clearly shows the GatorSports Nation is upset about the way our offense is competing.

Get your resume’s and fax them to 1-800-32 dive. Interviews will be taken in Jacksonville just prior to the UGA-UF Game please bring your own playbook.

If you wanted to destroy a proud program, replete with talent, speed and depth all OVER the field, on a roll and stocked for the future, take it from the heights of success to crisis and all signs of an accelerating downward spiral in the shortest time possible, you could do a more thorough and efficient job of it than this regime, in the last year or so.
Yes, that includes our Head Coach, Urban Meyer, who has presided over this growing debacle. The fact that he is also responsible to a great degree for building that program and setting new standards of excellence in Gainesville DOES NOT CHANGE the sad truth of the gathering storm.
“It’s only a game”, but it reads like classic tragedy: The great man reaches pinnacle, he is deserted by his friends and allies, gathers more and more of once-shared duties to himself, becomes isolated, tense, comes to rely on “loyal right-hand man” who gathers power to himself, Leader refuses to see the deterioration all around him, and when finally faced with (to him) sudden, unanticipated defeat he is “blindsided” by it and has a breakdown.
That SHOULD have been the exit-point, Coach’s instincts were correct. But Foley and everyone else (all of US included) “dragged him back in” (yeah, Godfather III reference), and now things get REALLY tragic–I don’t have to recount the recent past.
What now? Well, one hopes he realizes he was right the first time, he doesn’t want to be here–and resigns in some graceful manner, maybe “pending the end of the regular season”. It is coming, one way or another, this year or next. The reaction will be a lot different this time, too.

    Talk about spoiled fan base!

Not spoiled we just know what our program is capable of.

Look, we all looked at the plays and realized we could call these on first down. It was really to poke fun. Urban and Steve will turn this around. it just may be painful for us to watch right now. remember, we are a kick and a fake(FORWARD) field goal away from 6-1.

A high school coach could run the O-line better. You can tell before the snap if its a run or pass just by their stance. The O line should be locking up immediately pushing forward like on a run, not backing up on the snap. I can’t believe Meyer can’t see this.
