Former Florida Gator football assistant John Holliday also known as “Doc” is the new head coach for the Thundering Herd.
Mike Hamrick, the Athletic Directory over at Marshall said that Holliday signed a 5-year contract that is worth $600,000 per year.
Doc will be replacing Mark Snyder who resigned on November 29 after coaching for five seasons at Marshall and a 23-37 record at the that time.
After Doc Holliday left the Gators in 2007, he joined the staff over at West Virginia. If I could describe Holliday, all I would say is that he is one heck of a recruiter. This is Holliday’s first head coaching job. Good luck and we wish him the best.
