Adrian Bushell, who was about to become a redshirt sophomore for the Gators this fall, has stated that he will be transferring from the University of Florida to another school.
“He is looking to transfer and we will certainly help in that process,” school spokesman Steve McClain said Wednesday evening.
Antonya English of Gator Report said that Bushnell has not yet asked for his release and also has not met with any officials.
Bushell, a 5″11 180 pound star right out of DeSoto High School in Texas was rated as one of the top players in the country back in 08 but has been slipping down on the Gators depth chart. Florida gets this a lot though. Players that transfer after a year or two is common because they don’t see any playing time. You see this a lot with big schools like Florida. Look what happens to Billy Donovan, he always has some player transferring just about every year. The Gators have so much talent, that the above average players don’t see much time on the field so they want to leave and go somewhere where they know they will play.
Gator Sports Nation will try to get a word or two from Bushell and will post it when we can.
We wish Adrian the best of luck where ever he may end up.
