Freshman receiver Andre Debose just had surgery to repair a torn hamstring tendon in his left thigh at Shands hospital in Gainesville which came out to be a success.
Debose is expected to recover 100% in about 6 months or so. For everyone who does not know what caused his injury, Debose participated in the Florida state track meet last spring and aggrivated it even more throughout practice before the season went underway.
The decision whether Debose should of tried to return and fight through the season or sit out this year and have surgery was taken care of pretty good. Meyer and Debose’s family made the right move by sitting him out and getting his hamstring taken care of, now he should be ready for next season. With the loss of Andre, Florida has been searching for the go to man for the WR spot, and right now it looks like Cooper and Hernandez are the ones.
