Florida sophomore kicker Caleb Sturgis was honored as the SEC special teams player of the week early Monday.

Here are some nice highlights that were made by Sturgis.

- He made the 27 yard field goal with just seconds left to carry the Gators past Arkansas 23-20.

- Sturgis made a 51 yard field goal in the third quarter which was the third longest in the SEC so far this season. This kid has a boot now.

- Sturgis is 10 for 12 attempts this year. Pretty solid numbers, 4 for from between 20-29 yards, 5 for 6 from between 30-39 yards and 1 for 1 from 50 yards back. Very impressive so far and I can’t wait to see what more to come he has for us.
