The long wait to see what Freshman Wide Receiver Andre Debose would decide on has finally come to an end. Debose will opt for surgery, due to the severeness of his hamstring injury. The decision clearly was not an easy one for the youngster to make, but with this only being his first year at college, there is no need for him to risk further damage by trying to rush the recovery process.
Without Debose, the Gators will rely on Riley Cooper, Deonte Thompson, and David Nelson to man the receiver position for the 2009-10 season. The Gators may also be without WR Carl Moore, who is suffering from a lingering injury that just might hold him out for the season.
Before the season even started, the Gators biggest weakness was their inexperienced receiver core, and now, they will be without one, possibly two bodies for the entire season.
