Florida Gators head coach Urban Meyer has announced today that linebacker A.J. Jones will miss the next couple of weeks with a right medial collateral ligament sprain. Jones will not be ready until the bowl game this upcoming January.

Jones has performed well this year, recording 29 tackles along with an interception. He injured his knee in the first half of the blowout win against FIU 62-3. Brandon Hicks will be filling in the spot for Jones.

Other player injury news:

Emmanuel Moody (ankle) is still questionable whether or not he will be ready to play in Saturday’s game against the Seminoles. Both Jermaine Cunningham who is suffering from a shoulder injury and Terron Sanders who has injured ribs are probable for the FSU game.
