The Florida offense is already as high powered, high octane as it can get….right? Well the Gators feel they can improve upon their already potent offense. Well the newest move will not provide any thrilling plays, but it can certainly add a new look to the team in the redzone and near the goal line. Defensive End Justin Trattou will be used as a Tight End/H-Back in the redzone and goaline formations.

Moving Trattou to a Tight End role will not excite anyone, but it can add another weapon and a new look to the team. Trattou’s role will be similar to the New England Patriots usage of LB Mike Vrabel in the redzone. We will see how this move pans out for the Gators in the long run, but for now, it will bring another player to the mix that the opposing defensive coordinators will have to plan around.
