After starting just 4 games as a redshirt sophomore, number 66, James Wilson will be competing for a larger impact in 2010.

Coming out of high school, Wilson was ranked as the No. 1 offensive guard and ranked No. 2 overall prospect by Rivals, rated second among offensive guards by Scout and No. 44 on ESPNs 150 list. Wilson, a five-star recruit, Chose the Gators over Southern California and Notre Dame. Wilson helped lead his high school team to an incredible 14-1 record and a district and regional championship and along with a state championship in 05. Shortly after, Wilson was then selected as an Army All-American in 2006.

Wilson did not see anytime on the field as a redshirt freshman. He dressed out four games but didn’t see any action. The next season in 2008 he dressed out for all 14 games and got playing time in 10 of them and was apart of the SEC and BCS title. It only got better for Wilson as he put out more work. In 2009, he saw playing time in all 14 games including four starts against Charleston Southern, Troy, Tennessee and Arkansas. Wilson played a big role in the 2009 51-24 Sugar Bowl victory against Cincinnati and also saw some time on the field in the 2009 SEC Championship game against the Crimson Tide.

Keep a lookout for Wilson to see a lot of playing time on the offensive line this 2010 season. Over the last couple of years he has really progressed, I expect him to break loose his last two years for Florida.
