The Gators men’ s basketball team will be getting all kinds of attention this year as they are set to host three ESPN games all on Tuesday night in the upcoming 2009-2010 season. The first game that will be shown on ESPN will be when the Gators host Kentucky in Gainesville on January 12, tip off will be at 9pm. Last year wasn’t really such a hard time getting into the game when the Wildcats traveled to Gainesville, but this year is different. A much different Kentucky team, recruiting and coach wise. The big boss John Calipari.
Florida will then host the Bruce Pearl and the Tennessee Vols on February 3 for a 9pm tip off. It will mark the third time in four years that the two teams have played on the “super Tuesday”, but the first time that it is in Gainesville. I’m telling you now, even that we do have a small team this year, the O’Connell center will still be going crazy and the city of Gainesville is going to be insane.
On March 2, the Gators will host Vanderbilt starting at 7pm. Florida has won the last eight games in Gainesville against the Commodores.
I will be posting the full Gator schedule as soon as it is released.
