Florida Gator sophomore Josh Adams stroked the ball well, finishing up 4-for-5 in the 10-5 win against Duquesne (0-9) on Friday.
Matt Den Dekker tacked on a three run home run while freshman Preston Tucker added a pair of doubles out of the 12 total hits the Gators ended up with on the night. Den Dekkers hitting in the beginning of the game opened the doors for Florida (7-4), jumping out to an early lead, 3-0.
Late in the seventh inning, Jonathan Piggot’s single scored Tucker and gave the Gators a 10-5 lead which pretty much just wrapped things up for the night. The Gators will continue the series with Duquesne tomorrow starting at noon.
