Urban Meyer Named Head Coach at Ohio State

Posted by admin on November 28th, 2011   3 Comments

After beating Ohio State handedly in 2006, then retiring twice from UF, Urban Meyer has decided to coach at The Ohio State University after working as a college football commentator and analyst. Gator fans around the nation meet the news with mixed emotions- some happy for Urban who led UF to 2 national championships or those who remember that Urban left coaching because of the stress on his health, and oh yeah, not long after Tim Tebow left Gainesville.

What do you think?

My respect for Urban Meyer all but disappeared after last year. He couldn’t handle a losing season. His ignoring the opposing teams, players and most importantly Florida Band, cheerleaders and FANS, was an insult. He couldn’t handle not winning, and didn’t know how to fix it. He owes the U of F for his last year salary, he earned nothing. Instead of fixing what he screwed up, he screwed up the team, and now leaves. What a Jerk!! The Gator Nation saw it coming.

Guess Urban got over his “health” issues and has spent enough time with his family. What a crock! He left us when he knew we would stink for the next several years.

After losing Meyer and now Marotti the Gator Nation needs a backbone to Coach Muschamp’s squad. Look for Coach Augie Maurelli the Head Strength Coach at the University of Delaware to be in the mix!
