The Lane Kiffin era came to a short end on Tuesday evening as Kiffin announced via a press conference that he would be leaving for the vacant USC head coaching job.
Shortly after hearing this, UT students took to the streets and quickly became an unruly, raucous crowd. It did not take long for the hatred and anger towards Lane Kiffin set in with the Vol faithful. Shirts bearing Kiffin’s face and mattresses were set ablaze as the crowd grew louder. A few twitter users near the chaos reported that a large police presence had arrived on scene to quell the toothless aggression.
I knew that SEC fans were a rabid bunch but I had no idea we were this bad. I think it is safe to say that the Tennessee bunch take the cake and get recognition as the most psycho family member of this dysfunctional SEC family. This next video is an interesting news report about coach Ed Orgeron working the phones immediately after this had been decided, letting know current UT commits that they had scholarship offers at USC.

I’m a Tennessee fan and an SEC fan. I know how incredible your program at Florida is because I’ve spent my whole life watching us lose to you again and again. Please, for your brothers and sisters at the SEC, take your talent to the top again next year and knock the smug look off Kiffin and remind him that the SEC is the only real conference. F- USC.

I already think you are giving Lane Kiffin too much credit!
I don’t care that much about losing Lane. But losing our recruits and not having a coach will hurt us.
I just hate USC. Who the heck do they play? The SEC has won more BCS championships than all the other conferences combined. Stupid BCS.
