Junior defensive tackle, Jaye Howard is officially the first Gator of the 2010 college football season to win an award. Jaye Howard was officially named the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week today.

Howard, who stood out in a game many Gator fans want to forget.

But don’t forget Howard’s performance, or his name.
The high motored defensive lineman recorded 5 tackles to go along with his 2.5 sacks. He was equally as efficient in his run stopping abilities. The Gators’ defense allowed just 22 yards on the ground.

This won’t likely be the last time you hear from Jaye Howard.
